Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Therapy and Life Coaching?

+

Therapy and life coaching serve different purposes, though both can provide meaningful support.

Therapy is typically focused on mental health, emotional healing, trauma, and diagnosing or treating psychological conditions. Licensed therapists help individuals process past experiences and manage emotional or clinical concerns.

Life coaching is future-focused and centered around personal growth, clarity, goal setting, accountability, and creating actionable steps toward desired changes.

Coaching is not a substitute for therapy or mental health treatment, but it can be a valuable resource for individuals seeking guidance, direction, confidence, and personal development.

What types of problems can you help with?

+

Goal setting, time management, building confidence, career and academic guidance, emotional resilience, social skills, relationship building, managing negative patterns, accountability, emotional wellness, overcoming distractions and procrastination.

Why is there an Initial Consultation fee?

+

A one-time, non-refundable initial consultation fee is required when you become a client of Destined Minds to process all paperwork. This fee covers the 5 to 7 hours dedicated by our administrative and coaching team to onboard clients into our program. The process includes establishing customized access to tools, resources, and setting up a client account.

What is your confidentiality policy?

+

Your privacy is deeply respected. All sessions and personal information are handled with professionalism, discretion, and care to create a safe and supportive environment.

Is your coaching online or in person?

+

Both virtual and in-person sessions are available.

Virtual sessions are offered through Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet for convenience and flexibility. In-person sessions may be arranged on a case-by-case basis within the Toledo area.
